Well, after weeks of hype and controversy, we found out why CBS aired the Tim and Pam Tebow commercial sponsored by Focus on the Family, and not a gay dating site commercial. Both commercials …

Sparty King of Blogs

Welcome to your Friday. It is that time of the day again where we all gather around the water cooler beer keg and regale the weeks events here in Sparta. Although no one got kicked into the pit, there certainly were some other exciting things to take place here. Some of those things included today’s events which I will gladly recap for you after the jump….

Sparty thought for a moment that this was The Weather Channel and Friends, then CNN and Friends, before getting us to the sports links of the morning in TMA. I found one note particularly interesting in TMA….it went something like this:

27 days until pitchers and catchers report!

Our Veags Insider gave us the Conference picks for this weekends NFL games. A diminished Westbrook to me would cause $100 to go on the Cardinals to cover and possibly win staight up….I would definetly take the Ravens to cover the -6 too. The weather will suck ass no matter – and I am thinking two maybe three point spread at most..

GITC finally wrote a basketball piece for the world to enjoy because he didnt use any complicated formulas or math to keep Paul Pierce away from it. Paul Pierce didnt matter because it was all about LBJ23 and his ad promo to be revealed on011809. Internet users from all over the world all agree that this was GITCs best basketball work to date.

Though I am completly out of it, I still managed to remind the rest of you about the Gridiron Challenge this weekend.

On the tellie this weekend:

NFC Championship Game: Fox Sunday 3p – Philly @ Arizona
AFC Championship Game: CBS Sunday 630p – Baltimore @ Pittsburgh

NBA Game o’ the Weekend 1 : ESPN Friday 8p New Orleans @ Cleveland
NBA Game o’ the Weekend 1A : ESPN Friday 1030p Orlando @ LAL

NBA Hype o’ the Weekend is Sunday when the aforementioned 011809 takes place

PGA Tour: Final Two Rounds of the Sony Open from Hawaii all on The Golf Channel.

NCAA Hoops: Saturday has got to be the biggest day of College Basketball this season to date. 15 games involve teams ranked in the top 25….there are too many to list so just check out this link.

Here at Sparty and Friends there will probably be a College Basketball Comment-Splosion on said Saturday….I know there will be an NFL Live Commenting Section up on Sunday because I drive the bus on that one.

Enjoy some banter below in the comments section before heading home from work for the weekend…Someone will most likely be here all night at some point to take callers questions….
