The Morning After: January 2, 2009

By sparty

Why the hell are we open today?  What a tease having New Years Day off.  Seriously, there was zero relaxation into yesterday.  Had to wake up and get the place cleaned before a the fellas came over  to watch a disgusting display of football.  What was disgusting you ask?  The Big TelevEN, with the exception being the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Brian Hoyer sucks, good riddance to you and your crappy QB play.  You have zero pocket presence, have no idea how to look off a wide receiver, and do nothing but force the ball when you do throw it.  Why not hit the check down once in awhile, especially when the check down is an All-American 1st teamer!?  You suck.

Keith Nichol, thank you for leaving Oklahoma and returning to Michigan State.  I look forward to you throwing the pigskin around next season to Fred Smith.

Oh, and I heard Mike Patrick’s retarded comment about Georgia pulling a Plaxico.  Asshat.

Like I said, Iowa was the only good thing to come out of the Big Ten so far in bowl play.  Of course, they beat up the Cocks.  Shonn Greene is going to do very well on Sundays.

Penn State, thanks for making roses smell bad.

Va Tech finally figures out how to win a BCS game.

Clemson, all I can say is, well done being Clemson.  Here is a classic example of there being way too many bowl games and how Jan 1 doesn’t mean the same thing that it used to…the Gator Bowl used to be a huge game that took place in primetime.

Beanie Wells could probably make some loot next season by going to the NFL.  He and Pryor could be kings if he stays.  Right now, he is not sure what he will do.  I don’t want to play him at the Shoe next year.

The New Year is here; let’s take a look at the In/Out list of The Big Lead.

What was going on during all the Bowl Games on ESPN and ABC? The news on the  scroll of course. Way to go, Brett.

The Browns really shouldn’t pressure the best GM available to make a quick decision.

The Chargers sideline in the 2009 playoffs is starting to look a lot like last years.

People in Minnesota better have a dish.  They are gonna lose, so maybe they won’t want to see what Philly is going to do to them anyway.

The Blackhawks are a cute team, but they aren’t a great team.  Cue, the Red Wings.  Detroit won the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field.

The details are out about where Charles Barkley was HEADED, snicker snicker, when he was pulled over for his DUI.  HAPPY FRIDAY!

Since USC kicked ass, they get a spot here today, or at least some students that went there:
