Breaking News(?): Tennessee Coaching Search – Volume III: Lane Kiffin Wins

Submitted by GatorTrey on November 26, 2008 – 2:32 pm27 Comments

According to our sources Lane Kiffin will be announced the new head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers as early as Monday, December 1st.

A secondary source has confirmed this story.

Not confirmed, but rumored to bring not only Ed Orgeron as an assistant, but also his father Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defensive Coordiantor Monte Kiffin with him.

Updates to follow soon.

UPDATE:  A thirdary source is emphatically denying the reports that Kiffin’s been offered the job.  Let the info digest as you realize that it’s coming from the athletic director’s mouth.  Those guys only deal in the realms of discretion and misinformation.
