The Big Lead FFL: Week 2

2008 Week 2 Fantasy Stud

2008 Week 2 Fantasy Stud

I’m too pissed at Carson Palmer and DeSean Jackson (costing McNabb big pts) to give a full write up.  Here are mini-results from Week 2 along with the updated standings.

Salisbury Cell Phone (Joe Sports Fan) 122
Alaskan Fire Dragon (S&Fs) 97

When your defense is your high man (WCNYFG 24pts),  it is never a good sign.  Romo (28) and Barber III(23) crushed me.  What is more embarrassing is that Imig had Owen Daniels in his lineup.  Nothing against Daniels, it is just that the Texans did not play.
Jews 4 Purple Jesus (Hef, Major League JerK) 91
Bell’s Borrowed Bags (Cousins of Ron Mexico, is this even your sight anymore?) 156

This was as bad as it looked. 3 players almost won this for the Borrowed Bags.  Aaron Rodgers (33), Anquan Boldin (34) Terrel Owens (20).  Remember when it was a good thing to have Bengals on your fantasy team?  Chad Johnson (3).

War Pigs(The Big Deal) 80
Dave Lozo’s Tight End (Dave Lozo Dot Com) 120

Who the hell needs Damon Huard (-1) when you have Eli Manning (28pts).  My fantasy crush, Brian Westbrook (28) also helped Lozo out.  When your starting QBs are Jon Kitna and David Garrard, you should just forfeit.

Dark Helmet’s Helmets (The Sports Hernia Blog) 62
Strahan’s Angry Wife (Intern Bill, TBL) 94

Last week, Intern Bill needed 153 pts to beat his boss.  This week, a 94 spot would have given him a loss against 6 teams in the league.  Jay Cutler (40) continues to make my foot taste really good.  Of course he should have been charged with a lost fumble.  Another example of fantasy football just being about match-ups.  RUN DMC (62) was the only bright spot for the Hernia.

Insomnia of the Soul (The Big Lead) 164
T. Henry’s babymomma (SportsGal) 140

Did The Big Lead’s team hear my preview of them?  They are on fire, and I get to play him this week, crap.  Phillip Rivers (35) and Kurt Warner (34) led the onslaught. First SportsGal loses Brady, then she puts up huge numbers and still loses.  Just the opposite of what happened to Intern Bill.
